Following the success of our Study Days, XtraMed is delighted to bring tailored, in-house vascular access training directly to your hospital or dialysis unit.

Available throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland, our bespoke programme is specifically designed to enhance the skills of haemodialysis teams, refine advanced cannulation skills, reduce complications, and ultimately improve patient outcomes and the longevity of vascular access.

Expert Instruction by Julia McCarthy, RGN, BSc Hons

Our Clinical Nurse Trainer, Julia McCarthy, brings over 35 years of dialysis experience and a wealth of specialised knowledge.

With qualifications including ENB 998 and ENB 136, Julia has served as a Renal Clinical Nurse Educator in the NHS, accumulating over three decades of expertise with plastic fistula cannulas and 18 years in ultrasound-guided needling.

Training follows the BRS/VASBI needling guidelines and UKKA clinical standards, supplemented by clinical references and Julia's extensive experience.
